Last year, Steve Western, Steve Copeland, Lee Gillen and David Watkins organised the Ten-Y-Fan Challenge which was an outstanding success with over 140 registered climbers, 11 of whom completed the full challenge of ten climbs!
Since then, the Ten-Y-Fan team has pledged their support to help a different charity each year and for 2016 they have chosen LATCH.
This year, the event will take place on the weekend of Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 July. The challenge is to walk up and down Pen-Y-Fan (the highest mountain in South Wales) TEN TIMES in 24 hours and all proceeds will go to LATCH.
The event will commence at 6.00pm on Saturday 16 July and the climbs will continue through the night. This is an extremely tough challenge and over 40 miles will be covered during the 10 climbs. Participants do not have to do all 10 climbs, they can do just one or as many as they are able to do.
If you would like to register for the Ten-Y-Fan Challenge, it is £10 to enter click here. Full details will be e-mailed to you by the organisers after you have registered.
