Emyr was a fit, active boy who loved many things, but mainly his family, friends and rugby. In May 2008 Emyr was admitted to the Children’s Cancer Ward in the University Hospital of Wales where he was diagnosed with cancer. Emyr’s courage and humour in his long fight against cancer is helping others face the same battle today, His character was expressed in a delightful story he wrote called Pigs in Space. It tells the adventures of Bacon and Sausage. It has been LATCH’s privilege to publish the story as a book, illustrated by the Deputy Head of Emyr’s school, and there has been a huge public response with many thousands of copies sold already.
